| Motel Clerk Robbed at Gunpoint |

On June 27, 2011 at approximately 6:37 P.M., La Mesa Police Officers responded to a report of a robbery at the Motel 6 located at 7621 Alvarado Road in the city of La Mesa.
The clerk reported the suspect entered the motel office and inquired about a room. The suspect then pulled out a handgun, pointed it at the clerk and demanded the clerk give him the money from the register. The manager heard the robbery taking place from another room and called police. The suspect then fled the scene with an undetermined amount of money. The suspect was last seen running westbound in the 7600 block of Alvarado Road.
No one was injured and there is no surveillance video available at this time.
Suspect: Black male, 30-35 years, 6’ 0”, average build, unshaven, short hair. He was wearing a green Boston Celtics Jersey with the number 34 with a black hooded sweatshirt underneath, black pants, a hat with a brim all the way around and black sunglasses. The suspect had a band aid on the left side of his face near his eye.
