Juveniles Beaten and Robbed near Amaya Trolley PDF Print E-mail
On July 26th, at approximately 9:38 P.M., the LMPD received a report of a robbery that occurred near the Amaya Trolley Station, located at 9100 Amaya Drive. The male victims told police they were walking eastbound on the sidewalk south of Amaya Drive, when they were approached by a group of approximately 5-6 black males. One of the suspects grabbed a necklace from around the victim’s neck. The other suspects demanded another victim’s wallet and cell phone. The victim refused and was knocked to the ground and hit in the face by two or three of the suspects. The male received bruising to his face, but denied medical attention. One of the suspects then pulled out a black semi-automatic handgun, threatening the victim’s life and after getting the wallet and cell phone, all suspects ran off towards the trolley station. A search of the area by LMPD and MTS officers was negative for the suspects.

 

Suspect #1 was described as a BMA in his late teens, tall and skinny with a short black afro with a white streak through it.

 

Suspect #2 was described as a BMA, in his late teens, tall and skinny, wearing a black “Miami Heat” hat.

 

Suspect #3 was described as a BMA in his late teens, tall and skinny wearing an unknown color zip up sweatshirt.

 

Suspects 4-6 were only described as BMA’s in their late teens, tall and skinny.
