On 09-03-11, at approximately 3:59 AM, La Mesa Police Officers responded to a report of an armed robbery at the Circle K, located at 8899 La Mesa Boulevard in La Mesa.

When officers arrived on scene, approximately 1 minute later the clerk told them he was in the back of the store doing stock work and when he came out he was confronted by two suspects who were standing at the cash register.  One of the suspects pointed a gun at him and demanded the cash from the register.  The clerk gave the suspects an undetermined amount of cash and the suspects fled on foot. The suspects were last seen heading eastbound on Grossmont Boulevard.  A witness told officers that he saw a small white compact car leaving the area at a high rate of speed.  The car did not have its headlights on and struck a pole as it was leaving the area.  The vehicle should have minor damage and yellow paint transfer on the driver’s side.  The description of the subjects inside of the car matched that of the robbery suspects.

The suspects were described as follows:

#1-Hispanic male adult, 20-30 yrs., pencil thin mustache, navy blue long sleeve shirt, blue baseball hat and sunglasses.  He was wearing rubber gloves.

#2-Hispanic male adult, grey hoodie sweat shirt, plaid grey-white-red shirt, blue jeans.
