Man Robbed in La Mesa Park and Ride Parking Lot PDF Print E-mail
On 10-14-11 at approximately 8:20 P.M., La Mesa Police Officers met with the victim of a robbery in the front lobby of the La Mesa Police Department. The 56 year old male victim reported being robbed in a Park and Ride parking lot, located near the intersection of Bancroft Drive and Fuerte Drive in the City of La Mesa. The victim is transient and was sitting in his vehicle in the Park and Ride parking lot when he observed the suspect vehicle pull up next to him.     Suspect #1 and Suspect #2 exited the suspect vehicle and approached the victim at his window. Suspect #2 asked the victim for cigarettes. When the victim told them he didn’t have any cigarettes, Suspect #1 pointed a black revolver handgun at the victim and demanded his wallet. The victim handed Suspect #1 his wallet. The suspect removed the money from the victim’s wallet and dropped the wallet on the ground. Both suspects entered their vehicle and were last seen driving east on Interstate 8 from Fuerte Drive. The victim was not injured during the robbery. The suspects were not located and their identities are not known. Suspect Vehicle: A dark colored four door sedan. Suspect #1: Hispanic male, medium build, wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt with a light colored bandana concealing his face. He was armed with a black revolver handgun. Suspect #2: Hispanic male, medium build, wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt with a light colored bandana concealing his face.
