| Auto Dealership Employee Arrested for Embezzlement |

On January 11, 2012, La Mesa Police arrested 35 year-old, Lizeth Ochoa, of San Diego, for felony embezzlement and burglary. Ochoa was booked at Las Colinas Detention facility where her bail was set at $1,000,000.
On November 23, 2011, representatives from Drew Ford informed La Mesa Police that an employee had embezzled money from the dealership. La Mesa Police Detective Sean Snow worked with the Drew Ford staff and investigated the case. The investigation showed that the thirteen-year employee of Drew Ford had used numerous techniques to embezzle the money from the dealership. The exact amount embezzled is undetermined at this time, but is believed to be in excess of $100,000 over a significant time period.
On January 11, 2012, La Mesa Police detectives served a search warrant at Lizeth Ochoa’s residence in San Diego where she was located and placed under arrest. |
