Female Robbed of Purse at Grossmont Center PDF Print E-mail
On 02/11/12 at approximately 7:54 PM, a male suspect robbed a 71 year old female of her purse at she walked with her husband through the Grossmont Center parking lot near BJ’s Restaurant at 5500 Grossmont Center Drive, La Mesa.

The male suspect approached the female from behind and grabbed her purse from her shoulder. The suspect was last seen on foot running eastbound in the direction of Grossmont Hospital. The female complained of minor pain to her back but declined medical attention at the scene.

Officers searched the surrounding areas with assistance from San Diego Sheriff Department’s ASTREA and K-9 but were unable to locate the suspect.

The suspect is described as a white male in his mid 30’s, approximately 5’8”, 160 lbs., with “dirty” blonde hair, wearing a dark colored jacket, red t-shirt, and dark baggy pants. The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is
